Description
The EDI Manager is responsible for planning, documenting, and execution of the various types of manual and automated testing for software delivered from Applications Development and/or external vendors. This individual will create test scripts for all functional and technical requirements. As a manager, this individual will need to manage the entire EDI department. This includes but is not limited to assigning work, guiding team in resolutions and issue management, and ensuring cross team communications.

This individual must be able to react to the aggressive schedules required for our Business Partners and have the ability to communicate with all interfacing departments in a professional and efficient manner. Ultimately, the EDI Manager works to ensure that the product meets specified requirements, working as an integral member on the team. Effective communication and collaboration is essential to an analyst’s success.

Duties: MUST have hands on GS1 experience.
* Validating inbound EDI files for 850 Customer orders, 860 Customer order changes, 820 Remittance Advice, 944 warehouse receipts, 945 warehouse shipments, 856 freight forwarder shipments
* Validating outbound EDI files for 856 Customer advanced shipment notices, 810 Customer/Factor invoices, 943 warehouse container, 940 warehouse pick tickets, 850 purchase orders to factories and freight forwarders
* Creating analyzing flat file, XML, X12 and IDOC formats based on VICS standards, SAP standards, requirements, and implementation guides
* Performing manual, automated, and black box testing based on written test plans and test cases, functional specifications, and end user needs
* Analyzing and interpreting functional specifications in order to develop test plans and test cases
* Creating new and modifying existing manual test scripts
* Performing functional, regression and performance testing
* Interacting closely with Compliance analysts, Developers, Business Systems Analysts, Project Managers, and End Users
* Analyzing and troubleshooting potential defects
* Clearly and correctly documenting all test results
* Analyzing and communicating proper testing metrics per initiative
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required:
* Degree in computer science or equivalent education and/or experience is desired
* Four (4) to six (6) years experience in IT Quality Assurance field
* Experience validating inbound EDI files for 850 Customer orders, 860 Customer order changes, 820 Remittance Advice, 944 warehouse receipts, 945 warehouse shipments, 856 freight forwarder shipments.
* Experience validating outbound EDI files for 856 Customer advanced shipment notices, 810 Customer/Factor invoices, 943 warehouse container, 940 warehouse pick tickets, 850 purchase orders to factories and freight forwarders
* Ability to Create and analyze flat file, XML, X12 and IDOC formats based on VICS standards, SAP standards, requirements, and implementation guides
* Two (2) or more years of experience in the Apparel and Footwear industries with US wholesales operations is required (if have less must at be familiar with these types of customers)
* Ability to develop test scripts
* Capacity to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and work in a fast paced environment is mandatory
* Ability to prioritize and resolve multiple complex critical issues
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Database query skills are a must
* Must have a strong knowledge of the SDLC
* Participates in the formulation of project time estimates
* Knowledge of project planning and project management techniques sufficient to mange small projects and/or group activities
* Strong analytical skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication
