Dynamics Nav Training on Self-Paced CDs
One of the popular options for Dynamics Nav training is the use of self-paced or self-study CDs. These CDs are sold on what is effectively a site-licensed basis to end-users, which means you can buy one of each CD for your company and anyone or everyone within your company can use it. This somewhat offsets the fact that these CDs are pretty pricy ($400+ each), since you can use them over and over without paying any more. And if the original person the CDs were bought for leaves, the CDs will be right there to train their replacement, unlike classroom or consultant-provided training.
These 'training classes on CDs' include workbooks you can download and print out, movie segments showing the different topics and techniques step by step in Navision, and explanations by a very experienced Nav expert, Rick Baxter.
You should be aware, though, that the Baxter's primary business is making and selling Navision add-on software, and they periodically promote their add-ons during the training on the training CDs. It's not heavy-handed, and many of their add-ons are pretty good, but remember that you don't have to own or buy any of the Baxter/Cost Control add-ons to get full value from Navision and from the Dynamics Nav training CDs.
